Community Resource Center
The Community Resource Center (CRC) is a space for ALL families and parents of ICS. With a mission to enhance the self-sufficiency and well-being of the family, the CRC also focuses on parent engagement and referral to external resources. Within the CRC, you can find information about our pantries, telehealth, workshops, and food co-op
Transportation
ICS offers free bus transportation to campus, located in Medlock Park for students living in the pictured Clarkston/Stone Mountain boundary (see attendance zone map). For the 2024-25 school year, we are partnering with Cooper Global as our bus vendor.
There are three routes designed to maximize the number of students served by our buses. Many of our students are also carpool riders or walkers.
To register to ride the bus, please send your home address and student names to [email protected].
Beloved Community Council
At ICS, as a beloved community, we approach complex issues with strong communication, collaboration, perspective, respect and active listening. We seek staff and families who are committed to our vision of creating a supportive community of students, staff and parents, learning from each other and celebrating diversity among us.
As a demonstration of this, we have the Beloved Community Council. This is a council composed of a representative from our top 6 language groups. This council promotes equity in family voices amongst our major language groups. It encourages more voices and perspectives to be heard during decision-making and community building as these representatives then communicate and collaborate with their communities.
Please contact your representative via ParentSquare with any questions or ideas you would like discussed with the Beloved Community Council.

Title I Family Engagement
We hold events throughout the year to allow parents to learn more about our Title I Parent and Family Engagement Programming. Our Title I Annual Meeting for the 2023-24 School Year was held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. We have recorded this meeting to provide information to our parents and stateholders. In it we:
Review school PFE survey results for the School-Family Compact & Policy, 1% Set-Aside Budget, and Building Capacity of School Staff and Parents
- Explore District’s Title I Parent and Family Engagement Plan
- Understand the school’s Title I School-Family Compact & Policy for Student Achievement
- Learn about the standards, curriculum, and assessments
- Get questions answered regarding policies, programs, and activities.
We welcome additional questions on Title I programs at ICS! Please reach out to Assistant Principal Dione Smith at [email protected]
