VOLUNTEER AT ICS
Want to give back to local elementary school students?
ICS seeks volunteers who create a supportive community of students, staff, and parents to learn from each other and celebrate the diversity among us. We have historically sought and will continue to seek a building and nurturing community akin to the “Beloved Community” promoted by Dr Martin Luther King, Jr.
We have many different opportunities, from event support to library aides to garden workdays and campus clean-up. Please check back regularly for updates, and subscribe to our newsletter for the most up to date opportunities!
Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities
Rescheduled to May 30, 2026 | Earth Day Celebration and Beautification Project
Come join ICS staff, families, neighbors, and partners for a community volunteer day and help us bring the vision for these projects to life!
There will be plenty of tasks for your families to help with, including:
- Planting seeds for our pollinator garden, weeding, mulching, and installing new plant classification signs in front of our many plant species on campus
- Painting rocks for our new literacy garden
- Installing our new weather station
- Renovating student seating to become standing work benches for experiments and outdoor activities
Volunteers of all ages are welcome!
