ICS will join Dekalb County Public Schools in starting the school year virtually on August 17 for the safety of our Beloved Community. The ICS staff is creating a robust virtual learning daily schedule to share with you in the coming weeks.

April 13, 2020. Updated Meal Service from DeKalb: Starting today, students will receive a two-day meal package on each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (2 lunch meals & 2 snacks). The 21 meal distribution sites will remain operational and the bus meal delivery will continue following the amended plan of meal service on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The ICS ESOL Virtual Learning Portal is now live at bit.ly/icsesol. ESOL students and parents are encouraged to bookmark and visit the site often for optional activities that promote continuous language learning. Connect with ESOL staff via e-mail, web forms and Zoom links.

March 26, 2020: Gov. Brian Kemp ordered today the continued closure of schools until at least April 24 in the ongoing fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
March 25, 2020: A variety of Clarkston organizations are working to put together a website that compiles resources for the community, and where organizations can submit as well. It is still in the works and is being updated by the hour but you can find HERE their first version full of helpful links to support with food, housing, employment, health, and more.
March 23, 2020: DeKalb County School Social Workers function as a link between the home, school, and community. School Social Workers assist DeKalb County families who are experiencing social, familial and/or economic challenges that impact the learning process of students. Click HERE or more information.
