What a honor to have students’ art and music showcased at the Woodruff Arts Center on March 26!
This opportunity was part of the Family Fun Activities that take place on Sundays at the Center, where families are invited to explore, play, learn and create art in an interactive environment.
Ms. Peters guided the students as they learned about creating art with texture. Visitors could view the pieces as they walked on the second floor, right outside of the Alliance Theater’s door:
- Finger painting by Kindergarten and First grade students,
- Burlap weaving done by 2nd, 3rd and 5th graders ,
- Colorful coil clay pots hand made by our students in 4th grade, and
- Carefully crafted wool felting by 5th graders
A delegation of our upper school performed in the Richard H. Rich Theater in front of familiar faces, as well as an audience of visitors.
Special thanks to Olivia Aston, Family Programs Manager at the Alliance Theater, for assisting with this opportunity.
