ICS maintains a commitment to academic excellence, while also providing extracurricular offerings that enhance social development. Some of these options are through the activities after school. ICS is now partnering with Generation InFocus, a STEM-focused aftercare provider.
AFTER SCHOOL starts August 5th (first day of school) and must be pre-paid upon sign-up.

Tennis, Soccer, and Kilometer Kids will be offered again in the 2019-20 School Year. There was an interest sign-up available during registration and will be in the office during the first week of school. Registration forms will be sent home to those who expressed interest and will be due on August 16.
Sports and the late bus will start the week of 8/19/19. Tennis and Kilometer Kids
will remain free for all students. Soccer may require a fee which will be included with registration forms.
Tennis. Through the hard work of our PE teacher, we have partnered with the USTA 10&Under program since 2007. Our goal is for students to become comfortable with the mechanics and rules of the sport, holding little racquets and having fun learning something new. Students can participate at no cost, but an interest form and application must be completed. We always have a need for volunteers to help with the tennis club on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 pm.
Track has been very popular at ICS for more than 10 years, when the Kilometer Kids program started. It is an Atlanta Track Club (ATC) program, and ICS was one of the first schools to participate. The program is designed to get kids running, keeping track of laps run around the lower field at school. Students run twice a week in preparation for city-wide meets. ICS routinely has top participation at ATC meets and events. Students can participate at no cost, but an interest form and application must be completed. We always have a need for volunteers to help out on Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30-4:30 pm.
Soccer is another important program to our school’s culture and vibrancy. As a public charter school, ICS represents one of the largest public school soccer programs in Georgia. The teams are able to practice and develop their skills after school hours. Although many of ICS’ students have a natural ability and are very comfortable on the pitch, the time spent with ICS’ coaching staff is crucial to their improvement. The schedule for Soccer for U6, U8, U10, U12 will be determined after the teams are formed. Coaches and volunteers are always needed.
