Several events were planned throughout the week, including a Family Fitness Night! We invite you to support this effort as you are able.
Monday: Smoothies were freshly prepared for staff and student’s breakfast. Thank you to Ms. Rhina Williams for helping out!
Tuesday: Students and staff practiced T’ai Chi. Experienced instructor, Steve Dorage, guided us through a few minutes of this relaxing exercise, getting everyone ready for their day.
Wednesday: Family Fitness Night, 5:30pm. We warmed up with Ms. Inye and Mr. Wilson, and then… We met Eddie, the founder and creator of the PLAYOUT GAME:
Eddie Kovel, Medlock Park Resident, lead fitness games using the first ever Exercise Card Game, Playout: The Game. During the session, those who attended completed body weight exercises while playing a variety of card games like Grand Prix Relay, Playout All-Star, and Team Survivor! Each exercise is designed for people for all ages and fitness abilities, so everybody got fit together. Check out the pictures: so much fun while getting fit! Why Workout? Playout!

Thursday: Warm oatmeal was served for breakfast. Thank you to the parents who made oatmeal!
Friday: In a windy but beautiful morning, staff and students walked on the Nature Trail from Medlock Park to Mason Mill Park and back (about 3.5 miles)
